Job Description

  • The QA/Regulatory Officer conducts quality assurance audits of production facilities assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Cooperates with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Functions as an information source and various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur. Function in conjunction with manager, quality assurance services, on special department projects.
Duties & Responsibilities: As QA Specialist
  • Assists the company in all aspects of Quality Assurance to Quality Control Section.
  • Determines, negotiates and formulates in-house quality procedures, policies, standard, and specifications, assesses customer requirements and ensures that these are met.
  • Ensures compliance to Food Safety under FDA and other food agencies.
  • Assists with system for the control of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean-In-Process (CIP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety, quality, process control and regulatory compliance.
As Regulatory SpecialistLeads, coordinates and maintains related compliance processes related to ingredient, product, package, label, claims, communication development, etc., working cross-functionally Corporate functions, as required (e.g., coordination with Legal, Formula Governance, R&D, Quality).
  • Engages with local and government food authorities to support new product/ package launch through efficient registration and follow up process and managing internal processes, database and tools to facilitate all compliance processes.
  • Reviews and manages ingredients approval to comply with local regulations and policies for both existing and new product development.
  • Maintains contacts with specific food authorities to get the updates of existing or future regulations/ requirements.
  • Maintains and updates food safety tools, systems and processes.
  • Participates in Trade or Professional Associations, such as those representing the food industry, flavor industry, etc., and International Organizations related to Food Science and Regulations.
1. Quality Assurance Processes- Assists the company in the following QA Processes (forwarding to Quality Control Section):- Performs facility and system audits on an ongoing basis.- Performs audits of third party providers.- Performs frequent in-depth GMP and SOP audits of data, study documentation, including source data verification, informed consents, manufacturing reports, and ethical submissions at pre-study, study and post-study stages as appropriate.- Reports findings to the Management Team and provide feedback to the study teams initiating any training requirements as appropriate.- Provides advice and interpretation of new regulations and regulatory issues as they occur.- Approves and determines the new and existing supplier's quality and specifications (machine, equipment, ingredients and packaging materials).2. Food Safety System*Assists the company with:- The administration of SOP and SSOP process, GMP, and HACCP.- The coordination of the review and update of SOP's.- Ensures documentation of training in SOP's and GMP is maintained.- Oversees the implementation of new SOP's.3. To ensure compliance to FDA'S legislation and other food agencies in all Food Evaluation Unit Studies- Ensures compliance systems described above.- As part of quality assurance function to ensure that all QC staff have comprehensive training records to include documentation of general and study specific training.- Assists the company with training and evaluating staff.4. To assist the company in the set up and management of ISO 9001 quality management system- Monitors the quality systems and initiate appropriate actions in order to meet standards in order to gain and maintain the accreditation for ISO 9001.- Promotes the ISO 9001 compliance to potential sponsor companies.5. Responsibility of adherence to Philippines standard- Maintains personal training records- Attends training sessions as appropriate.- Performs role in accordance with company policies and SOP/SSOPJob Specifications: Education: Graduate of Food Technology or Industrial EngineeringExperience: At least three (3) years of functional experience in Quality AssuranceKnowledge: Computer literate, Sanitation, Knowledgeable about food processing, familiar in different local and governmental food authorities,Skills: Oral and written communication skills, Computer skills, Attention to detail, Sanitation skills, Negotiation skills, Responsible, Persistence, Meticulous, Determination, RigorousJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:
