Continuously monitors the quality of workmanship in compliance with the relevant codes and regulations. Liaises with owner, certifying authority, production and engineering departments on implementation of the quality procedures on the proper installation of electrical and instrumentation items. Plans and organized activities for QA/QC Inspectors / Technicians and to supervise them in executing their duties. Prepares inspection procedures and all the requirements of QA/QC, and disseminates to inspectors and technicians. Prepares inspection and tests form & data for compilation. Performs quality audit and monitor the non-conformity/corrective actions. Reviews specifications and drawings. Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations. Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary. Participate in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures. Ensure that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed. Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time. Requirements: Need to know about specifications, standards (Lloyds, NMD etc) and computer literate. Technical knowledge for working on low and high voltage apparatus, electrical installation/distribution/generation system, electrical system safety/code and regulations such as NMD, Lloyds, IEC etc. Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation with 3 years' experience in marine industry or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation with 5 years' experience. At least 2 to 5 years' experience in marine industry and familiar with Lloyds, NMD, IEC specification etc and be familiar with QC procedures. Physically fit. Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment Able to motivate in a challenging work environment Must be able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights.
