Key Responsibilities:



Carry out welding inspections, including visual inspections, dimensional checks, and verification of welding procedures in Piping and structural works Review and interpret project specifications, codes, and drawings. Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). Verify welder qualifications and maintain updated records. Conduct NDT (non-destructive testing) coordination and review reports. Prepare inspection reports, maintain documentation, and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required. Support QA/QC team in audits, client inspections, and handover documentation. Ensure compliance with shipyard safety and quality procedures.

Requirements:



Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent. Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or equivalent). Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC welding inspection experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or offshore projects. Strong knowledge of international welding standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, IACS, etc.). Familiar with NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT,PAUT) and interpretation of results. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work in a shipyard environment and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. * Shipyard experience is mandtratory.
