Job Description

* 5 days work week, Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm * Location: Jurong Island (Company transport provided) * European Chemical MNC * No experience are welcome, training is provided * Basic + Allowances + AWS + VB * Permanent Our client is the largest chemical producer in the world. Objectives

• Responsible for producing reliable quality data on time for process continuity and final products release.
• Ensure smooth Quality Control (QC) operation to fulfill department function in order to meet customer orders.
• Monitor and ensure compliance of all laboratory activities to ISO 9001 and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures & requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for routine analysis of raw materials, in-process control samples, finished products and wastes according to established test procedures and work instructions, report any deviations or specific findings to ensure quality standards.
• Committed to generation of quality data to ensure products meet stipulated specification
• Timely release of material lots to meet production schedule
• Assist in method validation and development for all analytical requirements
• Ensure uninterrupted provision of all lab supplies, where applicable, the chemical synthesis of calibration standards for QC lab.
• Maintain existing ISO 9001 requirements; to identify and implement additional requirements.
• Ensure minimum down time of assigned laboratory equipment and best performance via preventive maintenance and troubleshooting if required, perform all relevant internally and externally calibrations timely.
• Maintain good EHS practice to unsure zero lost time incident

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma / Degree holder in Chemistry or related field
• 3 years relevant experience in an analytical laboratory
• Proficient in multiple analytical equipment, e.g. HPLC, GC and titrators, including operation, maintenance and troubleshoot
• Skillful in sample preparation techniques to tailor for various analytical equipment
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment, trained internal auditors would be added advantage
