We are seeking QC Inspectors with similar values, who can put his or her expertise to work on a Petrochemical Project Construction site. This professional will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once and serving as the representative at each work site in dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors. He or she will be expected to ensure compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis. With each project, this individual is counted on to drive the innovation for which we are known.

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist the QC Manager in preparing and reviewing QA/QC Procedures, ITP, welding procedures, processes, and documentation to determine that applicable welding code and design requirements are satisfied Inspection of Tankage, Structural and Piping welding/ Painting, Insulation in fabrication and erection of Refinery piping & Power piping components involving materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, GRP, etc.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Perform qualified NDE, visual, and dimensional inspection (initial, in-process & final QC inspection).
  • To prepare and review Piping System mark-ups and Test pack.
  • To provide identification and traceability reports of critical parts/items in a standard format.
  • Carry out Material Inspections.
  • Prepare final dossier for document submission (MDR) as per project requirements.
  • To review Tankage/Piping/Structural/Equipment drawings.
  • Monitor welding activities of sub-contractors\' welding work.
  • Performs quality control activities for assigned program(s) and project(s) to ensure that products or services provided meet customer and contract requirements.
  • Ensures quality inspections/surveillances for final test activities are performed and documented by NCR or CAR.
  • The individual is expected to work in a team to obtain results, self-motivated/directed, ability to organize and supervise activities with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with the site/shop QC team on all quality issues.
  • Assist in other related operational duties as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Ability to perform QMS Audits
  • Knowledge of NDT Operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Min. 5 - 10 years of relevant working experience in Jurong Island
  • Certified welding inspector in AWS-CWI/CSWIP-3.1 and qualified to NACE Coating Inspector (CIP) level 2 or an equivalent recognized international organization such as BGAS, SSPC
