Job Description

A Quantity Surveyor / Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and controlling the cost of construction projects. They work closely with contractors and clients to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. Their roles and responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, managing project costs, advising clients on cost-saving measures and ensuring compliance with construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects Analyzing and negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors Managing project costs including labor, materials and equipment Advising clients on cost-saving measures and alternative material Preparing, negotiating and analyzing cost for tenders documents and contracts. Plan and discuss with sub-contractors on project execution including implementation. Manage and supervise project works as well as oversee all workers, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure proper work execution and good workmanship. Execute projects work based on drawing / specification. Able to interpret drawings and Calculation of Site Materials Regular monitoring of project progress and reporting to Project Manager Liaise and co-ordinate with Clients, Consultants and Vendors on all project matters. Attend site meeting, if applicable. Track work progress and submit progress report so as to ensure that the projects are executed on time and within budget. Coordinate the project work to ensure successful completion as well as hand over to the Clients. Maintain all the documentation for the projects. Coordinate and work with other departments as well as to supervise the project works. Other duties as delegated by the Management.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required. Able to handle projects independently Skills - AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Good understanding of construction regulations and safety standards Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer-aided drawings. Pleasant working attitude, self-motivated, hardworking and creatively. Immediately or within short notice to start work Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license A good team player.
