Things you will get to do:

• Install and test many different content-management systems and their interaction with the Translation Management System (TMS), including AEM, Contentful, Wordpress, Drupal, and
• Sitecore, just to name a few!
• Come up with solid ways to test broadly and efficiently
• Contribute to design and implementation of quality, testable code and systems

• Take new and existing products, figure out how they work, how to break them, and how to properly test them
• Help promote testing best practices with developers and project managers
• Prepare deployment pipelines, ensuring proper testing gates and checkpoints
• Develop maintainable suites of tests using enterprise-grade tools

• To support the business requirements for the provision of system testing services.
• To audit existing products for feature sets when reviewing for new releases and reviewing new release for inclusion of the existing feature set
• To support Business-related test activity, in terms of communications across the business and ensuring that any key test issues are managed or escalated as necessary.
• To work with the Product Marketing team to provide summary updates of Development activity – to be communicated across the business and to end clients as appropriate

• Prioritise, effectively deliver and satisfy the business needs and business objectives
• Work alongside Development team and Product Management team to understanding testing requirements and required outcomes to create test plan
• Work across the business to communicate test outcomes and Development activity
• Identify new opportunities for process that create efficiencies in project processing and delivery and/or client satisfaction with the Straker product offerings.

• To undertake all system test related activities in support of the business requirements for the provision of new and updated systems
• To attend meetings comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test-dependent activities such as requirement verification and prioritisation, test scenario identification and general matters.
• To creature product feature audits and re-audit at the end of the end of the test phase to ensure initial required versus completed products have all elements included.
• To ensure that test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical priorities
• To create allocated test scripts, monitor test execution and ensure results are recorded.
• To co-ordinate re-testing of defects and issues either through ‘at desk’ re-tests by business test representatives, or via walkthroughs with third-party providers.
• To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts
• To liaise with and assist each line of business regarding the test planning, testing activity, and test results analysis
• To work with the Product Marketing team to provide summary updates of Development activity that can be communicated across the business
• To assist in capturing and scoping business requirements for new products/features/changes required.

• Experience in Translation Industry
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in several testing frameworks
• Extensive experience testing APIs
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages, ie. Javascript, PHP, Python, etc.
• Extensive experience with Linux
• Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) databases; others such as NoSQL dbs are a plus!
• Experience evaluating and writing various test types, including unit, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience with decentralized systems and microservice architecture a plus!
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
