We are looking for a committed and dynamic individual to join us as a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Assistant!
Working days: 5-day work week
Working hours: 9 am to 6 pm
JOB ROLE:
QA/QC Inspector’s primary role is to support food safety and quality control activities by assisting in identifying processes and products that do not meet requirements as per our company’s and SFA Food Safety and Quality standards.
QA/QC Inspector shall conduct the inspection and internal audit in the central kitchens and outlets to ensure all practices are complying. QA/QC Inspector shall also keep and maintain proper documentation such as forms and records in preparation for internal and external audit purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In charge of kitchen and outlet inspection. Generate reports for outlet inspection.
Ensure the central kitchen and outlet comply with the company and SFA regulatory
requirements (food safety, cleanliness, pest control, equipment maintenance, food handler’s
training, etc.).
Escalate major non-conformity to QA Manager.
Ensure food samples are collected according to the sampling plan and stored at the designated
location for retention.
Prepare food samples for external laboratory testing according to the sampling plan or ad hoc
testing.
Perform sensory tests on food products according to the sensory plan.
Keep forms and records up to date.
Monitor and manage pest control schedule and location of baits. Ensure monthly inspections are
conducted on time.
Investigate valid customer feedback/regulatory findings and issue Corrective Action requests
(CAR). All reports shall be archived as documented evidence.
Proactive in giving suggestions and ideas for Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
continuous improvement.
Assist in the preparation of various audits which is a good learning curve (ISO 22000, SFA, MUIS,
and customer’s audit).
Other tasks assigned by QA Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Secondary Education or its equivalent.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
Preferably with the understanding of Food Quality Control / HACCP, Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP), and ISO 22000.
Certificates related to Food Science/Food Safety/Quality Assurance/Quality Control will be
advantageous.
Capable of working as part of a team as well as working independently with minimal supervision.
Possess good interpersonal skills, self-motivated & meticulous.
Stands firm on raising food safety-related non-compliance.
Willing to learn new things and be hands-on when necessary.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
