Perform incoming inspection at port and at plant, to ensure that products received from suppliers meet the applicable specification.
Ensure correct labelling and storage on receipt. And correct picking on shipment/ delivery of products.
Ensure receipt, proper record keeping and filing of required product certification
Identifies and reports non-conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
Act as liaison for customer/supplier and the company to resolve non-conformance and quality problems effectively through communication with relevant stakeholders.
Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance / Quality Control management of significant problems, and completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
Requirements:
Ability to understand and read mill test certifications, and familiarity with steel standards is an advantage.
Be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
PC literacy, including word processing, spread sheets and databases.
Experience in Warehousing, Trading, Manufacturing or Production environment preferred
Preferably have driving licence &/or forklift licence (don’t need to own car)
Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
