This Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for the supervision of a team of Quality Control personnel to assure compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s quality system requirements while managing testing operations as well as outgoing controls to a defined specification and ISO standards. This position also executes validation studies, investigates non-conformances, tracks and trends the manufacturing health, and conducts training on quality-related tools. This role offers the unique opportunity to help stand up a completely new facility, grow the Micro Electronics business, and participate in activities including setting up the equipment and processes for safe, quality-focused manufacturing. This position is an integral part of the successful set-up of the new plant for future success. This position is part of the Quality Department and will be reporting to our Quality Director and based in Benoi, Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 Onsite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise and lead a group of QC inspectors to perform final product inspection/monitoring and line QC inspection
  • Development of Competency Model, Work Instructions, knowledge transfer and Processes to train the personnel
  • Performs Quality review of completed test records and release of final products
  • Work closely with key QA, Production, Engineering and EHS personnel to support them in testing, troubleshooting and driving continuous improvements
  • Manage Non-Conformance Material, Disposition and CAPA processes; assure root cause analysis and effectively implement robust CAPA in a timely manner. Follow-up and verification of CAPAs to assure no recurrence. Adhere to corporate escalation and reporting guidelines
  • Support QMS to meet ISO 9001 requirements; identify and implement/maintain specific standards to QMS
  • Proactively identify leading key indicators, provide Manufacturing Quality Trend Charts/Analysis, and suggest/implement improvements based on the trends
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Masters degree in Chemistry/Engineering/Science
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, with minimum 3 years of supervisory experience relevant to Chemical Laboratory, Material or Medical Laboratory
  • Setting up/Operating experience of Lab Management systems and laboratory instrumentation of GC-MS, ICP-MS, LPC, TOC, NVR.
  • Establish and implement maintenance/calibration equipment for laboratory analytical instrumentation - GCMS, ICP-MS, TOC, NVR, LPC
  • Good understanding of quality tools and methods (Example: FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, DOE, 5Why, FTA, 8D, 6 Sigma, Minitab/JMP)
  • Implements good laboratory practices (GLP) by providing instruction and trainings needed, develops work plans and procedures, and requires that these be followed in all day-to-day operations.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Analytical and data visualization skills eg Tableau, Qlikview
  • Hands-on experience in setting up QC product testing, process transfers, staff trainings and QC flow operation management
  • Being fluent in Japanese language as this role will need to liaise with the counterpart in Japan
