Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of an in-house team with the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and improve quality of the software we build.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build advanced automated test suites to exercise our world-class applications
• Conduct load and performance tests to identify system bottleneck
• Conduct research on emerging technologies
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems to craft various test strategies
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with manual/functional/performance/exploratory testing
• Conduct application performance and security testing to ensure we have a robust and secured system in place
• Maintain and improve automated regression test suite in testing environments
• Actively refine and improve test plans on the CI pipeline
• Perform system integration testing with other system owners
• Manage defect life cycle
• Drive continuous improvement in Agile testing practices and tools
• Perform peer code review to ensure code quality is upheld
• Involve in supporting and resolving production issues

Job Requirements:

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional software quality testing experience in application regression test automation, performance and or security testing
• Strong understanding of test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration and continuous delivery Experience with coding in any of the following programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python)
• Experience with various testing tools and automated testing frameworks (Robot, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber) Meticulous attention to details
• Excellent verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive, self-driven and motivated

Nice to have skills

• Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering or info-comm related discipline
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (i.e. Robot, Selenium, Cypress)
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust, HP LoadRunner)
• Experience with penetration testing tools (ZAP, Burp Suite, SQL Map, HP WebInspect)
• Experience with CI and deployment builds (Bamboo, Gitlab, Jenkins, TeamCity)
• Experience with Docker containers
• Experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, DynamoDB, MSK
