Quant Research, Data Engineering, NLP, and Generative AI Intern

As an Intern in Quant Research, Data Engineering, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI, you'll apply advanced AI/ML techniques to revolutionize investment strategies, generate alpha, and build scalable data pipelines for real-world financial applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Apply quantitative research, data engineering, NLP, and generative AI techniques to enhance the investment process, including sentiment analysis, predictive modeling, and automated trading signals.
• Maintain, analyze, tune, and report on existing machine learning models, using tools like Python, MCP, or LLM APIs to optimize performance and backtest strategies.
• Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and productionize ETL pipelines for large-scale financial datasets, ensuring robust data quality and scalability.
• Support R&D for innovative AI/ML-driven investment models, experimenting with deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative models to uncover new alpha sources.
• Explore and integrate novel datasets/sources (e.g., alternative data, unstructured text) to develop differentiated alpha-capture strategies in quantitative finance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or related field (with a focus on machine learning, AI, or quantitative methods).
• Proficiency in Python (including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL for data manipulation, querying, and analysis.
• Strong interest in a career at the intersection of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and finance; eager to apply skills to real-life projects like financial forecasting and algorithmic investment.
• Familiarity with economics, finance, or capital markets is a plus but not required - enthusiasm for learning quantitative finance is key!
