Job Responsibilities

: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.

Budgeting

: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.

Tendering

: Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.

Contract Administration

: Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.

Cost Control

: Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.

Value Engineering

: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

Collaboration

: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.

Reporting

: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

Site Visits

: Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.

Risk Management

: Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.

Post-Project Evaluations

: Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.

Requirements

Education

: Diploma/Bachelors in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.

Experience

: 23 years as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial). Preferred M@ndarin speaking Candidates

Skills

:

+ Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and materials in interior design.
+ Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.
+ Familiar with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
+ Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards).

Proficiency in M@ndarin (spoken and written)

to liaise with M@ndarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and contractors.
