Providing pre and post-contract services including feasibility studies, cost estimates, commercial advice and value engineering
Carrying out project feasibility assessments
Assessing design, preparing cost plans and budget estimates
Estimating costs, analysing risks and controlling costs
Undertaking responsibility for tendering and procurement management and contract administration
Preparing tender documents and undertaking tender analysis
Preparing monthly valuations and financial statements
Preparing and negotiatiing final accounts
Managing other quantity surveyors as required
Actively participating in Currie & Brown internal forums, training and social events
Leading and contributing to, as appropriate, the commercial interests and aspirations of the company and your business unit
Assisting with the identification and conversion of new business development opportunities including the preparation of submissions and proposals
Promoting the company values at all times
Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as defined in the methods and procedures contained in the company\'s quality management system
Requirements:
Degree in quantity surveying or related discipline
A minimum of eight years\' technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy, with exposure in semicon, data centre, logistic and infrastructure projects
Well-developed technical skills, for example preparing tender documents, estimates and cost plans, measurement from drawings, etc
Passionate about quantity surveying and furthering your career with a leading property consultancy
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Ability to build long-term relationships
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency with measurement tools such as CostX and CADMeasure desirable
