Job Description

We are currently working with a global real estate developer in search of a skilled Procurement Officer with experience in quantity surveying to join the team. This role is situated within the Property Development Projects Department and will involve providing support to Project Managers in managing procurement activities related to real estate development. The primary focus is on ensuring operational efficiency and strict adherence to the company\'s established procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Activities (80%):

• Supervise all procurement activities for the department and act as the primary administrator for the procurement system, Ariba.
• Uphold and enforce the department\'s established procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update vendor information.
• Exercise significant autonomy and discretion to ensure ethical standards are upheld in all procurement transactions.
• Collaborate with professional and technical staff to ensure clarity in specifications, expectations, and timelines.

Quantity Surveying (20%):

• Aid Project Managers in preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other related documents.
• Assist in estimating costs for feasibility studies.
• Participate in cost analysis and cost control for ongoing developments.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor\'s Degree or Diploma in Building or Quantity Surveying.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Proficiency in computer skills and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Procurement Project Management software.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry tender processes.
• Ability to conduct thorough problem analyses and formulate strategic solutions.
