Possibility to extend. . Starting date: immediate (October / November 2022) . Probation period: 1 month . Title: Quantity Surveyor . SG Citizens or PR are preferred Job description: . Support the PM & Senior QS / Commercial Manager for the closing phase & negotiation of final account of our current project. . Prepare, submit, and negotiate the monthly applications for payments issue tax invoices and monitor the payment process . Assess suppliers/subcontractors' payment claims, consolidate and issue payment responses timely ensure prompt payment to suppliers/subcontractors . Help to manage and maximise positive project cashflow, including producing reports for the management . Participate to Cost control and cost analysis processes . Consolidate contractual claims, and help to review outcomes and write detailed progress reports . Assist PM and Senior QS / CM for contractual disputes (Litigation, Adjudication) . For new projects, prepare cost estimates from initial calculations to the final account . Support pre-construction commercial activities, cost estimations and offer structuration Experience / qualifications: . Diploma/Degree Holders in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent (mandatory) . Minimum 5 years of working experience in the local construction industry. General Contractor or Subcontractor (steel) would be preferred. . Previous experience working as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer is essential . Experience of closing phase & negotiation of final account, adjudication & litigation would be a plus. . Financial and numerical skills and sound commercial awareness . Good communication and negotiating skills . Well versed in both public and private Conditions of Contract used in Singapore. . Excellent command of the English language / Commercial English, both oral and written. . Strong understanding of EXCEL, . Interesting in working in an international & multi-cultural environment . Experience of accounting is not requested, but will be considered as a plus Working Place & Conditions: . Working location: 341 Beach Rd at the Asia Pacific regional office of PFEIFER STRUCTURES. . Working hours: 5.5 days/week. 9am to 6pm. OT is likely to occur at project stage. . Holidays: Mini. 14 days annual leave (tbd) + 14 days of medical leave . Medical insurance: provided by the company . Salary: 5 to 7,000 SGD++ /month x 12 months, depending on experience.
