Details of the Division and Team: The purpose of the role is to provide stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region with a better understanding of their (credit) risk exposure in the context of key F Details of the Division and Team: The purpose of the role is to provide stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region with a better understanding of their (credit) risk exposure in the context of key Financial Performance metrics (eg Risk-Weighted Asset, Loan Loss Provisions, Leverage and CRD4 ratios). In particular, the incumbent works with Regional and Global teams on identifying and help trouble-shoot the inherent risks and issues arising from changes arising from both the regulatory (BCBS) and financial (GAAP) reporting rule framework as well as Business strategy and product innovations in the Bank's Regulatory and Risk Reporting, challenges in data capture, aggregation and transformation, as well as in-and outbound data quality assurance system capabilities and process setup and related limitations and the effectiveness of the controls control in place to mitigate those issues The incumbent will also help to provide accurate, relevant, and timely financial information as well as high-quality advice and analysis to Regional stakeholders, acting also as an interface with and Central Point of Contact for Global stakeholders. This role is highly critical as it requires a lot of institutional knowledge, generalist-level expertise as well as experience in a wide variety of subjects and a robust network within the firm. Advise and assist with the creation, enhancements, maintenance, and decommissioning of end user reports, data extracts and analytics. Ample opportunities to participate in projects / transactions / initiatives involving system, accounting and regulatory change, as well as continuous improvement / innovation / reengineering activities Participate in internal and external stress testing exercises and Audits by way of advising on processes and controls, providing and analyzing portfolio information (exposures, risk parameters and drivers, accounting classification and measurement etc.) Act as the key interface between Finance and the (Credit-) Risk Management function in the Region and liaise with other Risk teams Globally, e.g. in the context of Regulatory Audits Govern periodic data submission from the Region to the Head Offices, incl making decision on adjustments or other types of exception handling, then follow up on root-cause analysis and drive mid-term and strategic remediation. Define, implement and apply key KPIs across timeliness, accuracy, alignment, and efficiency dimensions and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and met. Actively and independently drive your own further development, in particular in areas such as market and regulatory developments as well as organizational change.) and that of other (extended) team members. This includes but is not limited to continuous knowledge transfer and coaching of peers in the Finance delivery hubs. Undertake due diligence for new products, transactions, systems, and processes by way of upfront and post-mortem reviews and tests. Review and continuously enhance the control environment on Regional Financial, Risk, and Regulatory data submission and support Risk and Finance data alignment. Provide meaningful, accurate, and timely advice and analysis on day-to-day transactions as well as more bespoke portfolios and strategic initiatives. Stakeholders include - but are not limited to - the Business (incl Operations and FRM teams), Credit Risk Management, Technology, various Finance teams, Compliance, Group- and external Audit. Your skills and experience: Strong analytical and control mindset and structured, well-organized working style even in unusual / unexpected scenarios and under stress. Able to communicate effectively and concisely. Willing to speak up and challenge if needed Good team player, but able to work independently. Able to think out of the box i.e. Intuitive, creative, curious and proactive. Prepared to learn independently as well as coach extended team members Exposure to project work, including, but not limited to process reengineering or initiatives around organization transformation and innovation. Possess at least 5 years' hands-on experience in the Bank's relevant applications such as General ledgers, trade capture system, Group Reporting applications or equivalent. Minimum 15 years of robust generalist knowledge and hands-on working experience of the Bank's Financial and Regulatory reports and underlying processes, systems, and controls. Have gained minimum 15 years of experience in working and partnering across functions, cultures and geographies as well all organizational levels. Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.
