Job Description


The Director of Rooms is responsible for all aspects of the Rooms Division that includes Lobby Operation, Concierge, Raffles Butler, Housekeeping and Floral Boutique by Raffles. The incumbent leads the departments in the delivery of the Raffles Hotel Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s guest service experience throughout the entire guest journey, manages the optimization of revenue and productivity, and is responsible for the development of team members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategize and lead the teams in delivering the Raffles Singapore guest experience.
  • Manages the Raffles Singapore guest experience by regularly reviewing and ensuring a seamless flow of processes together with the stakeholders; analyses and evaluates possibilities for innovative enhancements.
  • Oversee the guest satisfaction measuring tools and platform including responding to guest feedback and communicating with the various stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance to the Brand Standard, Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) and Forbes 5 Star Standards; and achieve the key performance indicators set.
  • Constantly identifies new revenue opportunities and improvements to existing revenue streams and upsell schemes.
  • Identifies and implements new opportunities for inter-hotel sales and in-house facilities.
  • Meets, greets guests with the aim to build long lasting relationships with all guests.
  • Oversees the follow-up of any incident report and guest feedback.
  • Supports all departments in upholding the perception of the Raffles Singapore services, products and colleagues.
  • Ensures the physical and digital retail spaces comply with the guidelines of Raffles Hotel Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s standards and positioning.
  • Initiate and drive new product improvements and projects.
  • Ensures accurate monthly forecasting and accrual submission; responsible for annual budgeting with focus on profitability, cost per occupied room and productivity.
  • Ensures compliance of credit policies and procedures.
Candidate Profile
  • Diploma or Degree, preferably in hospitality or related field
  • Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 of relevant experience with at least 5 years at a management level
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skill, with ability to lead various teams and stakeholders
  • Possesses knowledge in managing the revenue and expenses of the departments
  • Service - oriented with an eye for detail
