The company is focusing itself in building AI and Automation solutions for Retailers within the group.

As an R&D intern at DPV you will have an opportunity to develop a demand forecasting model that powers an inventory optimization system for our client, one of the biggest retail chains in Asia with 25,000+ stores across the region. Under the guidance of our data scientists, you will be involved in the full process of developing a machine learning model, from dataset preparation to model training, evaluation, and documentation. By the end of the internship, you would have gained valuable experience in processing a large amount of real-world data, as well as exposure to the considerations and techniques in ensuring the success of an AI/ML project.
Requirements:
? Proficiency in Python.
? Proficiency in scientific computing packages, such as Pandas, Numpy, SciPy.
? Proficiency in visualization tools, such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly.
? Proficiency in Git version control system.
? Good background in probability, statistics and data analytics.
? Knowledge and experience in training and evaluating common ML regression models.
? Problem-solving aptitude, inquisitive mindset, and passion in data & AI/ML.
Good to have:
? Knowledge/experience in time series forecasting.
? Knowledge/experience in the inner workings of modern machine learning algorithms, particularly gradient boosting (XGBoost, LightGBM), deep learning, and clustering algorithms is highly advantageous.
? Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP.
? Experience with high-performance data manipulation tools, such as Polars
? Experience with out-of-memory parallel & distributed computing tools for big data, such as Dask.
