Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Software Engineering Lead who combines proven technical leadership of multi?discipline teams with deep expertise in software implementation and validation. In this role you will oversee day?to?day engineering operations at our Singapore site, act as the primary local liaison to global strategy, and drive software development and validation for next-generation robotic platforms and non-medical products. This individual will engage at the project management and executive level to align site activities with broader corporate goals, while personally contributing in C++, C#, python tooling for product development and robust automation tests across various products.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary liaison between local engineering execution and global functions, ensuring two-way communication and conflict resolution Provide technical leadership for the Singapore engineering site Monitor site metrics (attendance, cost efficiency, space utilization) and drive continuous improvements. Ensure effective onboarding, engagement and retention of local engineering staff Coach engineers, foster an inclusive culture and escalate concerns when needed Collaborate with PMs, regulatory and quality functions to define requirements and deliver on tasks, projects and product milestones Actively participate in the full product lifecycle, from development planning and design reviews to the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans. Lead the development and implementation of robust automation tests across various products, significantly improving testing efficiency and coverage. Provide hands-on technical contributions to development efforts as needed, mentoring the team and ensuring best practices are followed.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; advanced degree (M.Sc, MBA) preferred. 3+ years of proven experience overseeing engineering operations, managing resources, budgets, and driving continuous improvement through KPI analysis. Skilled in mentoring engineers, fostering an inclusive team culture, and conflict resolution. 5+ years hands-on experience in C++ with strong command in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), performance optimization, multi-threading, and modern C++ standards. Strong command of the .NET ecosystem for scalable enterprise applications, including API design and asynchronous programming in C#. Extensive experience in Python for scripting and automation, automated test suite development, and data analysis. Proficient in leading the planning and development of robust automation tests across various products, significantly improving testing efficiency and coverage. Experienced with test automation frameworks, Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and code reviews.

Soft Skills:

Excellent cross-functional communication skills, bridging between technical, product, regulatory, and executive stakeholders. High emotional intelligence and cross-cultural adaptability for global R&D.

Language Skills:

* Fluent in English. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Hebrew) preferred.
