As a part of an agile team of software engineers delivering software with latest technology standards:

• design and implement Reference Data Services based on event driven architecture
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of Agile delivery
• focus on engineering clean solutions reducing complexity, address technical debt and support
• enhance DevOps landscape through highly automated quality assurance, build, and deployment-related tool chains
• conduct requirements-gathering activities, like evaluating services, using a variety of internal and external data and conducting end user interviews
• assist in quality control

Your team

You'll be working in the Reference Data System delivery team in Singapore, partnering with a similar team located in Zurich. Our role is to provide business applications (customers) with a global infrastructure for the management, maintenance and use of reference static data. Our clients are the business application owners and the data owners of reference data tables. We provide customers with tools and public services for maintaining, managing and using shared reference data, backed up by our own dedicated support organization. We offer standardization, central storage and global synchronization for master and control data, ensuring high data quality and enabling programming to be parameterized and structured more flexibly.

Your expertise

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in agile software development
• long-standing experience designing and building complex applications with relational databases
• solid experience in COBOL programming, JCL, Relational Databases, Network databases, CICS online transactions, Web Services and Restful Services.
• experience in tools like Workload Scheduler, Dynarep, IA tool, TOAD for DB2, SDLC Modelling Platform suite of tools.
• good knowledge of SQL, JCL and IBM Debugger and IDz
• very good understanding of CI/CD including containerization and usage of tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Nexus, Maven, Splunk, and many more (hands-on experience preferred)
• experience of working in the Scrum Master role is an advantage.
