Let\xe2\x80\x99s shape the future of wealth management together.The Asia FRM CC is an integral part of the Asia FRM team working in close interaction with other FRM teams and the 2nd Line of Defence (2LOD) both locally and across regions.The FRM CC TH supports the Front Management with the performance controls and enhances the Frontline Risk Management and Control Framework in close collaboration with the FRM Advisory colleagues and the Head Front Risk Management of the Region/ Segment/ Division, and with stakeholders such as Branch Governance and 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD). FRM supports the performance of the required risk control self-assessments and ensures the risk reporting to the Regional Management.The FRM CC also supports in audit inspections, risk trend analysis and engaging with Front Management in establishing structured risk discussions.
He/she has a solid reporting line to the Asia Head FRM.YOUR CHALLENGERisk and Control Framework

  • Ensures the setup, design and maintenance of a consistent and effective Risk and Control Framework
  • Ensures timely and qualitative execution of controls and recurring tasks within the team
  • Ensures timely and qualitative reporting of control results to relevant stakeholders (eg local Risk Committee) in collaboration with FRM Data, Tools and Reporting team where applicable
  • Keep track of and contribute to the timely closures of audit actions in area of work including comprehensive documentation for closure of findings
  • Anticipate potential issues and actively propose measures to close identified gaps ahead of audit or regulatory inspections
FRM Advisory
  • Act as sparring partner to local Front Management through the provision of support on risk topics
  • Lead/participate in local risk or management committees or risk sessions to provide transparency to Front Management
  • Make risk transparent to the FRM Team Heads and local Front Management, propose mitigation actions or explicit acceptance of risk and escalate in a timely manger if there is detection of severe risk issues in areas of responsibility
  • Establish a close and good collaboration with Client Strategy & Experience Heads and/or CS&E Regional/Market Business Management
Global FRM / Transformation
  • Supports the team on integrating into the global FRM function
  • Act as a change agent for the evolving harmonised global 1LOD risk framework and support the changes in a collaborative and positive approach
  • Support the implementation of the newly defined FRM CC mandate as well as parts of the FRM Advisory Mandate application to Asia
Leadership & Communication
  • Manage your team\xe2\x80\x99s task portfolio and prioritise where required to keep the workload feasible with timely escalations where required
  • Ensure consistent information flow in the team through regular bilateral/team meetings and to promote and open feedback culture
  • Support in the progression and development of the team in (ie talent management)
Interaction with Stakeholders
  • Supports close and systematic collaboration/information flow between the FLOD and the 2LOD
  • Supports audits and other internal/external reviews/ audits
Regulatory Responsibilities &/or Risk Management
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Initiates appropriate measures together with stakeholders in case of negative control results (if deemed appropriate), defines and monitors interims risk mitigating measures
  • Supports/monitors clean-up activities and follow-up on 2LOD or Head FRM risk inputs and monitors remediation/mitigation measures and projects
  • Supports the development of front-related system improvements from a risk and control aspect
YOUR PROFILEREQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
  • University degree or equivalent education in Banking and/or Finance, Compliance, Law, Risk Management or Business Administration
  • At least 10 years of professional, relevant working experience in financial industry/ Private Banking, preferably in Front Risk Management, Business Management, Business Support, Compliance, Legal, or Audit
  • Experience in people management
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills as well as high level of flexibility and adaptability to changes
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint. Savvy with prevailing IT systems, tools, applications (e.g. CRM, T24, )
  • Solid banking products knowledge (e.g. Fixed Income, Equities, Funds, Structured Products etc.) to perform the respective controls and follow-ups
  • Good interpersonal skills to liaise with RMs, ARMs as well as other departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to work on own initiative, willing to take on responsibility. Good lateral thinking capabilities and self-control/self-solve abilities
  • Thorough and detailed working style, attention to detail
  • Ability to work with/ oversee complexity and work under high pressure
  • Professional and convincing communication skills with stakeholders in various roles and functions
  • Decisive, well-organized, proactive and act with care and assertiveness
