POSITION: Regional Business Unit Senior Manager
REPORTING TO: Commercial Leader
LOCATION: Singapore
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a senior regional commercial leadership role responsible for a specialty interventional portfolio across multiple countries in Southeast Asia and adjacent markets. The role carries end-to-end accountability for defining and executing regional growth strategy, managing financial performance, and leading a dispersed commercial organization. The position requires a strategic leader who combines commercial rigor with practical execution skills to drive market adoption, expand access, and build organizational capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACROSS MARKETS AND BUSINESS UNITS
Strategic Leadership and Business Growth
Define and implement a multi-year regional growth strategy aligned with global priorities and local market realities.
Lead annual planning, including revenue forecasting, resource allocation, and investment prioritization.
Identify market trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics to inform portfolio direction and positioning.
Initiate and sponsor market development activities to increase access and accelerate product adoption.
Translate strategic objectives into clear, measurable country-level plans.
Commercial and Financial Management
Own full financial accountability for the regional business unit, including revenue, margin and headcount planning.
Drive commercial excellence through disciplined sales execution, pricing strategy, and channel management.
Oversee integrated marketing and launch plans to support demand generation and portfolio expansion.
Negotiate and structure strategic agreements with key customers and distribution partners to support sustainable growth.
Monitor commercial performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Stakeholder Engagement and Market Influence
Build and maintain trusted relationships with clinical leaders, professional societies, payers and channel partners to advance access and advocacy.
Serve as the primary conduit of customer and clinical insights into product and commercial planning.
Ensure all external engagements conform to applicable regulatory and compliance standards.
Collaborate with regulatory, medical affairs and market access functions to support reimbursement and adoption.
Organizational and Talent Development
Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed commercial team to achieve business goals.
Design and implement capability building, succession planning and performance management processes.
Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion and high performance aligned with corporate values.
Work with HR to attract, retain and develop key talent across the region.
Governance, Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and local regulatory requirements in all markets.
Proactively identify and mitigate compliance and business risks.
Support internal audits and remedial actions as necessary.
Promote transparency and integrity in commercial operations.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive commercial leadership experience in the medical device or healthcare sector, with proven regional or multi-country responsibility.
Demonstrated success with P&L ownership, new product introductions and cross-functional leadership.
Deep understanding of healthcare systems, market access and distribution models in Southeast Asia and neighboring markets.
Experience working in a matrix organization and influencing without direct authority.
Strong ability to interpret clinical data and translate it into commercial value propositions.
Fluent in English. Additional regional language skills are an advantage.
Regular regional travel is required.
