Summary As a Regional Demand Planning Manager, you are responsible for producing an accurate consensus unit forecast that will drive supply and inventory planning for the assigned business area.

You will work closely with the business at country and regional levels to ensure that all available sales, market, and marketing intelligence is incorporated in the unit projection, including the uncertainty and risks associated with potential business or orders.

As part of the S&OP process, you will lead or co-lead the Demand Supply Integrated Reconciliation meeting with the key Business (Marketing /Sales) and Finance stakeholders to validate and reconcile the unit forecast with the financial projections.

You have the oversight of supply planning and has ongoing strong process and operational link with logistics and customer service/order management function.

Job Summary:

Main Responsibilities:
Regional Demand Management:

  • Responsible for the Regional Demand Figures which indirectly drive the production planning, and directly affecting the availability of inventory to customers. Works with Marketing/ Product Managers, Finance and Supply Planning to understand the impact of the forecast, the financial gaps, potential risk and opportunities.
  • Manages Product Life Cycle including phase in and out activities process and system update
  • Works closely with Country Demand Planners, provides guidance and coordination in key areas of Demand Planning processes to ensure consistency and high performance.
  • Facilitates the Regional Demand Review, leads the aggregation of regional demand for the Businesses and provide timely information to all the relevant processes (both Regional & WW S&OP forums).
  • Plays an active role in translating the key element of the business strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service and objectives across all regions. As the owner of the Regional Demand Planning Process for the Businesses, he or she will be responsible for leading and coordinating the monthly Regional Integrated Reconciliation meeting by actively engaging the Marketing and Finance community as key participants in the process.
  • Actively contributes and supports the development and implementation of the Regional Business Strategy in the Demand Planning functional area.
  • Represents the region in the WW Demand Review - ensure timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum
  • Initiates and drives improvements in the process through increased market knowledge and systems usage. Focuses on improvements in demand modeling, statistical forecasting, which drives greater accuracy and is directly linked to increased customer service and inventory strategies.
  • Maintains a strong link to business activity and global issues as they may affect respective products.
  • Responsible for coordination of the demand for the annual long-term planning process. Consolidate, challenge the country LTP input as well as provide Regional input

Back Order & Manual Allocation:
  • Owns and establishes the manual allocation process in the event of chronic supply shortage. Work with Fulfillment/ Supply planner to manage the allocation process based on agreed priorities.
  • Work with the fulfillment/ supply planners on any supply chain or manufacturing initiatives that may impact the supply.

Inventory Management:
  • Actively manage and reduce the Excess and Obsolescence by driving forecast accuracy and /or inventory rebalancing across DCs

Planning Strategies:
  • Work closely with Fulfillment/ Supply planning to establish planning strategies & inventory policy to meet business objectives and the targeted service levels.
  • Conduct periodic review on system planning parameters jointly with Fulfillment/ Supply planning to support the strategies.

Key Supply Chain Operations Metrics:
  • Accountable on achieving targeted supply chain operation metrics, Forecast Accuracy, Back Order, Line Fine Rate, Inventory for respective WWB assigned.
  • Ability to set targets and establish plans to drive metric improvement to target at regional level

Others:
  • Ensures all S&OP documentation is completed on a timely basis to meet APEX requirements.
  • Ensures process executions are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) & other regulatory requirements e.g. GDPMDS
  • Performs any other tasks as assigned

Our Requirements:
  • Degree in Business / Logistics / Economics

  • Minimum 6 years of Supply Chain Planning/Inventory management experience with more than 3 years as a people leader

  • SAP & SCM knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Excel application

  • Skilled at building PBI report automation

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
