Regional Freight Coordinator

Job Description
The Regional Freight Coordinator will be a part of the global freight team and will be based in Singapore reporting directly to the Director of Global Marine Freight. Below are some duties:
- Respond to internal spot rate requests timely and serve as transportation staff back-up.
- Monthly update of freight & market intelligence tools helping communication strategy.
- Update service details accurately and timely assisting on transp. process improvements.
- Assist on checking accuracy of carriers contract amendments rates & service levels.
- Assist in crisis management such as port strikes, major vessel allocation issues, etc as needed.
- Perform other duties related to position as assigned by the Director of Global Freight.
- Create and maintain relationship with internal interlocutors and vendors
- Take commercial & operational decision aligned with the company & Department strategy
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written). Korean is a plus.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
- Good communications skills and multi-tasking ability
- Positive attitude and the desire to learn new things.
- At least 10 years experience in international logistics and marine and multimodal export / import processes
- Autonomy Decision making
- Experience dealing with China rail logistics will be a plus
- Trouble shooting and problem resolution skills
