Our client, a leading Asian Private Bank, is seeking a
Regional Head of Execution
to oversee all trading and execution operations across the private banking business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring best execution across all asset classes, driving efficient and accurate trade processing, and upholding the highest standards of regulatory and internal compliance. You will lead the execution function to manage trading risk, maintain strong relationships with counterparties, and support market access for relationship managers and investment advisors. This role requires a seasoned markets professional who can deliver high-quality service to both internal stakeholders and external partners, while enhancing the bank's execution capabilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the trading/treasury/execution team.
Execute and oversee client orders across equities, fixed income, FX, funds, derivatives, structured products etc.
Ensure trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation across asset classes.
Maintain and develop trading systems, e-trading platform, STP workflows, automation, and data analytics / reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements; manage trading risk and control framework.
Collaborate with front-office (RMs, investment advisors, product specialists) to support client needs; advise internal stakeholders on trading matters.
Interface with brokers, custodians, counterparties -- manage relationships.
Manage trading P&L, budgets, headcount, cost/revenue metrics; drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Banking; CFA / MBA / relevant certification preferred.
Holds CACS Papers 1 & 2, M1B, M5, M6, M6A, FMRP
Solid experience (10+ yrs) in trading, execution or treasury, in private banking or wealth management environment.
Extensive knowledge across asset classes; strong understanding of market mechanics, securities, FX, derivatives.
Demonstrated leadership and team-management experience.
Strong regulatory/compliance awareness and track record of working in a regulated environment.
Excellent analytical, risk-management and decision-making capabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Multilingual or cross-jurisdictional experience,
Mandarin
speaking is mandatory as the role is required to communicate with regional teams.
