The Regional Head, Operations (Middle Mile) is accountable for all operational performance goals and costs of middle mile department, and comes up with strategies to structurally improve them in a sustainable manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper tender and procurement principles are adhered
• In conjunction with procurement teams, ensure proper vendor management framework is used
• Working with local teams to identify requirements and opportunities for vehicle purchases
• Review the expected utilisation plans
• Develop plans to future-proof investments
• Responsible for the full implementation of vehicle purchase
• Develop, monitor and improve on operational performance goals
• Communicate with countries on managing performance
• Monitor performance and work together with local MM heads for improvement
• Review middle mile planning and management
• Optimise these physical processes by data collection, test and research
• Develop standard guidelines and improve it continuously
• Align with stakeholders on operation standards
• Construction and analysis of data to provide visibility on operational goals
• Identify opportunities with current processes with respect to speed, costs, compliance and sorting accuracy
• Develop plans and strategies to improve identified opportunities
• Developing and building a strong regional team that can engage and support every country in every aspect of running the department locally
• Drive development of local capabilities to fulfil the achievement of operational performance goals
• Innovate and create solution using inhouse tech teams to improve operational performance goals
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales, finance, partnerships, customer service, recovery to ensure that the sortation process satisfies customer needs and expectations
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement
• Accountable for mm budgets across all countries
• Ensure that the process is cost-effective while maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy
• Facilitate sharing between countries and build relationship
• Keep up to date with industrial practices and share knowledge with the countries

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in any related field
• Possess 6 - 8 years of Operational experiences in a similar capacity within the supply chain / logistics industry with at least 3 years in a managerial position and has experience in working with 3 or more countries.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Good conceptual thinking and planning skills
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable to travel to local countries when required
