Job Purpose
This role provides direct support to the VP HR, Emerging Market (EM) on planning, preparation, coordination and delivery of key strategic projects across EM Pharmaceuticals Commercial and HR. The projects will have a regional focus spanning across EM, an exciting region with a double-digit growth ambition. The Region is strategically segregated across 3 market archetypes namely Direct, Growth and Performance. Brazil, India, Argentina, Russia, Mexico and Vietnam form the Direct Markets contributing ~70% of EM growth; while Growth comprises a group of 10 countries/clusters namely Saudi, LSP, Gulf, Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, Colombia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey contributing ~25% of EM growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support the EM HR organisation in the delivery of key projects across HR and the business.
  • Work directly with the VP HR EM to ensure the HR agenda and objectives are driven forward
  • Partner with Senior Stakeholders to scope out projects/initiatives including:
    • Project deliverables
    • Timelines
    • Identify resources currently in place and required
    • Measure of Success
    • Constraints / Risks to successful outcome
  • Provide HR expertise and guidance as well as upskilling others
  • Develop and implement an annual plan of activities e.g. talent reviews, leadership programme nominations, P&R, market visits, objective setting across EM HR.
  • Identify, partner and manage the various stakeholders across the wider HR organization and across the EM HR teams
  • Act as a channel for escalated issues/concerns and implement strategies to resolve risk and constraints
  • Through project implementation, ensure the HR model is being leveraged effectively and promote principles of driving work to the appropriate level
  • Recognize the level of confidentiality and complexity of given projects and manage appropriately
  • Coordinate the collection and tracking of HR metrics
  • Design and embed a performance management system across EM HR
  • Plan, coordinate and track talent management across EM with direction and guidance of VP EM
  • Understand the HR Risk environment, identify and mitigate potential HR risks
  • Where applicable diagnose and/or deliver large scale, complex and global cultural change projects, site changes, workforce restructuring, including; outsourcing, in sourcing and off shoring, acquisitions, mergers and divestments in line with the HR demand plan.
  • Leverage OD expertise to diagnose and design effective solutions
  • Coach and mentor others in HR population
  • Understand and champion the One HR agenda
  • Meet with and coach emerging and key talent outside HR

Basic Qualifications
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (HR, Finance or Project Management)
  • ADP Practitioner and/or OE Green Belt or Advocate Training (desirable but not essential)
  • Project management skills and experience in the design, planning and implementation of restructure and culture change programmes. This will have included due diligence, analysis of costs and budgets, planning, managing risks effectively and delivering projects on time
  • Exposure to issues involved in working in a culturally and geographically diverse business.
  • Exposure to working in a highly complex organization with a matrix structure and with multiple lines of authority leveraging influence within a complex network of stakeholders.
  • Solid experience in multi country change and multi business change
  • Experience and understanding across the HR model
  • Demonstrates a good track record of translating business objectives into HR solutions through appropriately setting the direction, objectives, targets and metrics. Able to take responsibility to deliver against demanding projects or initiatives and meets criteria of time, cost, quality and performance.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering HR solutions within demanding operational contexts, i.e. resourcing, performance management, change management, consultation and reward issues, across a range of functions and job types.
  • Experience working in an integrated way with the business’ agendas. Able to show insight and good judgement within business teams to deliver sound decisions and solutions.
  • Experience participating and influencing HR teams in order to raise standards within the function and improve the collective profile of HR within the business.
