APAC Internal Control Manager with Renown Medical Device Group

My client is a consumer-centric global medical device group with strong market dominance. An opportunity has arisen for a highly qualified individual to join their APAC corporate team as Regional Internal Control Manager. As the Regional Internal Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing internal controls, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and driving process improvements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Drive strong internal controls compliance over financial and commercial processes, working cohesively with teams in the APAC region.
• Provide expert guidance in US GAAP technical accounting, particularly Revenue Recognition, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and establish SOX controls, while implementing IPE/MRC processes and procedures for our APAC entities.
• Proactively identify and implement process enhancements, contributing to operational efficiency.
• Design and deliver training on US GAAP and SOX to APAC country teams.
• Coordinate with Corporate Internal Audit to align risk assessment and internal audit priorities.
• Ensure accurate month-end accounting adjustments and monitoring their follow-up.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A degree in finance/accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 8-10 years of internal control experience, preferably at regional level.
• Recent US GAAP experience and SOX compliance preferred.
