Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, APAC, the role will cover the strategic brand building for regional marketing in APAC, local and distributor markets. The critical importance of this role Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, APAC, the role will cover the strategic brand building for regional marketing in APAC, local and distributor markets. The critical importance of this role especially in the next 3 years in delivering the Breakthrough Brand for Edrington and where APAC is potentially the #1 growth engine for key malt brands. The role is more multifaced as it requires business development and financial acumen in order to develop in partnership with the Regional Marketing Director and Global Brand Directors the accelerated growth strategies for Malt Whiskies in APAC and to steer local markets to take action and brilliantly execute. The role is complex in nature as it not only covers the APAC Region working closely with both Regional and Global teams but it as well covers local and distributor markets within APAC. Work with priority brands and in partnership with Global Brand Directors for Malt Whisky, The Famous Grouse, No.3 and Brugal to accelerate and build the brands in APAC providing feedback and ensuring local needs are addressed. Work in close collaboration with Regional Digital Marketing, PR and Regional Consumer Insights for support and to enable business planning and activation. Work cross-functionally with Regional Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial Capability to ensure financial alignment and profitability is managed, supply and distribution plans are built and commercial sales tools, targets and customer marketing is managed collaboratively for success. Target to continuously grow equity and brand power, building improved brand health, accelerated reach and awareness. Grow brand prestige positioning with the embedding of a new private client function within APAC Malts. Lead and develop the annual growth plan and planning process with the markets and is responsible for setting the APAC Brand Investment priorities and annual marketing calendar in line with brand guidelines and strategies, to ensure consumer and trade objective are met. Create idea capture and lead the development of select product innovation, trade visibility and activity plans to support APAC needs. Lead and champion the facilitation within APAC on a disciplined analysis of business situation and research (Brand Health Trackers) / IWSR, global initiatives / growth plans, regional and market growth plans and take the lead in the annual Performance and Strategic Reviews for Malt Whiskies, The Famous Grouse. No.3 and Brugal. Manage Zero Base Budgeting process, propose prioritisation for alignment and to guide markets on prioritisation of spend across the marketing mix. Approve local market A&P spend prior to budget, tracking regularly for efficiency and ROI. Skills and Experience 10+ years working experience in Brand Management / Marketing responsibilities for International Brands. Previous liquor / spirits experience and understanding of Travel Retail an advantage. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in strategic development, brand building, product launches, and new product development. Strong operational marketing experience with multiple market channels and territories exposure. Commercially driven and able to demonstrate a successful track record in the achievement of targets and objectives. Well-organised, detailed minded and able to multi-task. Good interpersonal communication & negotiation skill. Pro-active working attitude and result driven. Excellent proficiency of the English language, both verbal and written.
