Confidential - Regional Retail Director, Asia
A global lifestyle retail brand is recruiting for an experienced Regional Retail Director for its Asia region.
The region has scale, but operating standards vary by market. To unlock the next phase of growth, the organisation requires a retail leader who has genuinely lived the realities of Asia retail - store operations, retail excellence, productivity levers, retail maths, and the field leadership needed to move numbers week after week.
Reporting to the region's MD, the right-fit candidate understands the DNA of consumer and lifestyle retail in Asia: the dynamics of mall and department-store environments, the levers that drive productivity, and the operational discipline required to embed consistent retail excellence across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead retail performance and set operating discipline across owned markets
• Own the retail sales and operations calendar; ensure sharp, consistent execution aligned with cluster and global priorities
• Drive store productivity using retail KPIs: traffic, conversion, UPT, ATV, shopfloor productivity, stock flow
• Strengthen store-ops fundamentals: service model, floor operations, VM standards, daily routines, coaching cadence
• Build stronger field leadership capability across Asia and provide clear, forward-looking trade insights to regional leadership

Key Requirements

• Deep, hands-on retail operations experience (store ? multi-store ? country ? region) in consumer/lifestyle retail
• Broad Asia exposure across multiple markets; not single-market or distributor-only profiles
• Strong command of retail maths and productivity levers; confident diagnosing issues through KPIs and financials
• Proven ability to manage large retail teams and lift performance through people, standards and coaching
• Track record of delivering commercial uplift through operating discipline, not structural fixes
