The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team seek to build and promote safe workplaces. This enables and empowers people to do their best work by building and maintaining a positive safety culture and managing our WHS risks effectively.

What role will you play?

As a Regional Lead within our Risk Management Group, you will be responsible for embedding our Global WHS policy and strategy across Macquarie\'s operations and investments in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. You will ensure we have systems in place to effectively identify, assess and control material risks and support Macquarie\'s strong risk culture and continuous WHS performance improvement. You will work closely with Risk stakeholders, business groups and transaction teams to provide ongoing expert advice on WHS matters for new transactions and governance on existing asset management. You will lead and support initiatives such as training and system developments, whilst providing oversight on the implementation of the Global WHS strategy in region.

We are open to the successful candidate being based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Singapore.

What you offer

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as engineering
• Extensive international experience working in Workplace Health and Safety, preferably with an exposure to infrastructure and renewables
• Proven experience working with a complex stakeholder group, with strong relationship management and influencing skills to drive change
• Ideally, experience implementing Health and Safety Management systems, working with teams during development, construction and operations phases of projects

About the Risk Management Group

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
