And you\'ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.As a Regional Safety Manager you will own the Health and Safety function of your respective area as well as supervise a team of Regional Safety Engineers responsible for field safety operations. You will be responsible for improving the health and safety of our data centers, advancing safety culture, and protecting our employees. Each day you will work with our data center engineers, the people who make the cloud run. Our engineers work with electrical switching equipment, large scale air handling mechanical systems, and critical IT gear.You will work closely with experts in operations, security, construction, logistics, compliance, corporate counsel, and human resources to further the global health safety program. You will partner with employees as well as contractors to achieve health and safety goals and improve our already strong safety culture. As AWS increases data capacity you will partner with construction managers to ensure risks are identified and mitigated prior to live operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment where our operations are rapidly growing, advocating safe changes in the face of new infrastructure, new tools, and new products and processes.This role is for a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Manager. The primary responsibilities of the role are to support the safety operations for Data Centers in the ASEAN Region (Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia) and to manage a team of Regional Safety Engineers. You will have managed a team of at least three individuals, over a period of at least five years. You will be able to demonstrate how you continued to improve performance of an existing team along with displaying skills in building or growing a team of health and safety professionals. The candidate will also be knowledgeable in safety regulations in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia as well as industry best practices related to hazard recognition and mitigation.You will be part of a regional and global team that works with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the safety of operations. Close collaboration with onsite physical security, vendors, compliance officers, risk management, and fire/life safety systems is required. Additionally, you will work with employees and contractors to achieve specific safety objectives.You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally, in written form, and public speaking forums. This individual will advise, instruct and train safety professionals, as well as operations personnel on safety policies and procedures. You will also assist the team in incorporating and improving our safety standards in our sites.This role will report to the Senior Regional Safety Manager - Asia Pacific, Japan and China.
