Job Summary: Essential responsibility is to generate leads, develop customer accounts, and run all sales activities for the Material Characterization business in assigned territories. Proposes and carries out policies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume potential for all products and/or services. Applies the sales strategy and sales plan for assigned territories. Establish a deep base of industry intelligence and market knowledge. Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities: Ability to effectively direct and handle Material Characterization sales activities in assigned territories, product lines and accounts. Act as a lead for all Material Characterization businesses in assigned territories. Discuss trends, customer concerns, and competitors' activities with the Global Sales Leader. Maintain ongoing discussions with the Global Sales Leader regarding sales activities, trends, etc. Communicate successful prospecting, advocation, closing, ongoing sales and field support of cement and coal analyzer sales in assigned territories. Develop plans in relation to advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling and sales management. Identify and analyze the business strengths and weaknesses and respond to opportunities and threats in the marketing environment. Create a high quality relationship with all target customers. Implement the business unit's sales strategy and be its representative in the assigned territories. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting to management. Set goals for market share and growth. Prepare sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales. Work closely with Regional/Global Sales Leader to coordinate marketing/sales activities. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned Requirement At least 5 years working experience with analytical instrumentation in the South East Asia region. Specific experiences in Rheology, Compound and extrusion will be an advantage. A relevant university level education background, especially in science, engineering or business management with a science or engineering background/experience. Experience in managing channel partners/distributors will be an advantage. Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal, as well as strong capability to collaborate with internal/external partners are important Experience in Sales Force/ CRM will be an advantage Self-motivated, independent, strong ability in prioritization especially working in a matrix reporting, multi-cultural and diverse working environment. Leadership through influencing and able to contribute without close supervision. Comfortable with 40% travelling
