Our Client:
An excellent opportunity to join our client who is a U.S. multinational company in the industrial industry. They are in a business transformation and growth phase across Asia Pacific and is currently looking to hire a Senior HR Manager (APAC) based in Singapore.
You will be taking care of 400 employees in APAC Singapore with 4 direct reports reporting into this role.
The Responsibilities:
This role is based in Singapore and you will play a key role in managing human resources functions within the organization and staff within the APAC regions.
The role is responsible for embedding company HR practices in the region by working in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE) and by providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective to add value to the business.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, leading talent selection and onboarding processes, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working on multiple projects at once with the flexibility to adjust quickly to changing conditions and demands, with the ability to contribute strategically to the overall success of the organization.
The Responsibilities:
Talent Management and Talent Acquisition:
Partners with leaders in the organization to understand and execute the organization\'s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
Work with the Talent Acquisition team and interviews and assesses talent for open positions
Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation
Employee Relations:
Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, maintaining confidentiality and fairness
Performance Management:
Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans
Provide guidance and support to managers in addressing performance-related issues
Training and Development:
Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs with the Learning and Development organization.
Facilitate programs, team building events and manager assimilations as needed
Encourage and support employee development and career growth
Compliance:
Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure organizational compliance
Work with legal counsel as needed to address HR-related legal matters
Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and alignment with organizational goals
Communicate and educate employees on HR policies and procedures
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with problem resolution
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Compile and analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making
Prepare regular reports on HR activities, trends, and metrics for management
The Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources or Psychology is preferred
At least 10 years\' Human Resource experience with well knowledge of local employment law and regulatory compliance, ideally 5-8 years of experience as a HR Manager
Prior HR generalist/ business partnering experience for commercial team in APAC would be an advantage
Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role
Strong business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills and critical thinking.

Self-reliant, resourceful, and able to work independently
Excellent organization skills, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, growth environment
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong functional knowledge of HRIS systems; knowledge of Oracle and ADP preferred
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
The role may require up to 20-30% travel max
