JLL is seeking a Regional Sustainability Manager to join our regional team (covering Asia, Middle East and Africa) for global client account. You will work closely with client stakeholders and account team members to define compelling sustainability visions, create leading strategies and develop challenging targets for Corporate Real Estate and Integrated Facility Management environment. Objectives:

The role is focused on two key areas:

  • Providing energy, water & waste savings / reductions across the Clients Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa portfolio, including via low cost / no cost initiatives (LCNC) and initiatives which require capital investment.
  • Aligning JLL\xe2\x80\x99s FM service delivery team with the client\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability targets. In addition to energy consumption, water & waste this includes reducing carbon footprint, addressing climate change, Green Sourcing or conversion to more sustainable materials in operation use, and developing smart building solutions.
This role will be focusing on delivering lasting value to the client, via cost reductions and improvements in their sustainability practices. As such, we are seeking a candidate with strong technical/engineering/energy management skills, along with program management expertise, excellent written and verbal communication, and a pro-active attitude.

Accountabilities
  • Develop a Regional Sustainability Roadmap. Support Joint target setting with client for the same e.g. Zero Waste to Landfill Targets
  • Lead Program and support delivery of a range of climate and carbon projects.
  • Provide compliance and wider reporting.
  • Work with FM account team, Clients, leverage support from the central Energy and Sustainability Services team,. Specifically, this role will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of the Sustainability Program, sharing knowledge and technical expertise with local FMs, tracking progress across the portfolio, and reporting back to the JLL and client teams on results.
  • Provide clients and colleagues with cutting-edge climate change and carbon advice, aligning it with the developing global agenda and international best practice
  • Focus on upskilling FM teams and vendors with energy & sustainability expertise, such that they can identify and complete savings projects at their locations. Equip these teams to take greater carriage of future Sustainability and energy savings works.
  • Identify and seek to partner with vendors offering innovative technology and more, to position this client at the forefront of energy and sustainability practices.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 industry experience, with a strong preference for more experienced candidates.
  • Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree-qualifications in Engineering, with a preference for higher or related qualifications (Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Certified Energy Manager (CEM)), or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Sustainability program and energy savings across a large and diverse portfolio.
  • Sustainability & Energy expertise, sufficient to be self-starting on major projects, and to act as a coach and mentor to FM staff
  • Demonstrated experience working across cultures/languages.
  • Strong communication skills and client relationship management skills, especially in complex, self-directed working environments.
  • Strong numeracy skills, and experience in data management.
  • Detailed knowledge of energy performance contracting models, and how these can best be deployed in a predominantly leased environment.
  • Experience in initiatives such as CDP, GRESB, ESOS, GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets, Net Positive, Net Zero Buildings approaches would be desirable
  • Passionate about tackling climate change and about the wider sustainability agenda
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required. Additional languages would be highly regarded.
