We are seeking a proactive Tax Manager to oversee the Group\xe2\x80\x99s tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax reporting, and provide tax advisory services. This role involves supporting various projects, driving tax process improvements, and implementing best practices within the Group.Tax Governance & Policy:
  • Ensure compliance with tax and transfer pricing regulations across all entities (Singapore and regional: Greater China, India, ASEAN).
  • Assist in implementing the Group Tax Strategy, policies, and control processes.
  • Drive tax optimization and process improvement projects.
  • Develop tax-efficient structures for investments, intra-group financing, shared services, and cross-border transactions.
  • Monitor updates to tax governance and transfer pricing policies in line with regulatory changes.
Tax Compliance:
  • Oversee tax compliance with the Finance team, ensuring timely review and filing of tax returns.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and minimize tax controversies.
Transfer Pricing:
  • Manage and prepare transfer pricing documentation, tax position papers, and benchmarking studies with local Finance teams.
  • Ensure adequate transfer pricing documentation for intra-group transactions.
  • Conduct operational transfer pricing reviews to align with policy objectives.
Tax Reporting:
  • Maintain a central tax database for Group tax reporting and data analytics.
  • Manage annual tax accounting, review tax provisions, and deferred tax balances.
  • Analyze tax data to provide insights and recommendations for risk management.
  • Provide tax guidance and training on direct and indirect taxes to internal users.
Tax Advisory:
  • Partner with business units to support transactions and projects.
  • Provide tax leadership for M&As and internal projects.
  • Assist HR with foreign assignment tax compliance.
  • Review business and intercompany contracts for tax risks.
  • Handle applications for tax incentives and government grants.
Tax Audit:
  • Manage tax audits and queries with local Finance teams.
  • Analyze exposures and update stakeholders regularly.
Tax Trends & Development:
  • Stay updated on tax law changes, evaluate their impact, and manage change.
Other Duties:
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in accountancy or professional qualification with at least 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in similar roles within MNCs.
  • Strong technical background with experience in regional direct and indirect tax matters for MNCs.
  • Working knowledge of transfer pricing.
  • Strong accounting, analytical skills, and the ability to apply tax law.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solver, able to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, mature, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Positive mindset, can-do attitude, and team player.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin to support China entities.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
