The Regional Technical Manager plays a key role to keep and strengthen Axis' position as the technology and solutions expert within the physical security industry in the region.

The role is part of the regional Management Team and holds a general management responsibility for the region.

The Regional Technical Manager has a focus on building market awareness, internal & channel readiness, and will be responsible for knowledge transfer as the regional technology content-owner for Axis core product portfolio, strategic initiative products, and more. Furthermore, the role will take ownership to strengthen our TIP partnerships both from relations and technical perspectives as well as leading the regional A&E engagement. Finally, the regional technical manager is responsible for the development and enablement of our Axis Certification Program & trainings across the region.

He/She is also responsible for coordinating requests and wishes from the region regarding products and training material towards HQ (i.e. Product Management and the Academy team).

As this is a regional role, travel within the region and to Axis' HQ in Sweden will be considered a natural part of the job.

This position can be based in Singapore or Bangalore, in the South Asia Pacific region.

He/She begins as an individual contributor and a virtual leader in the region, with responsibility to grow and lead a team of evangelizers, who provide technology/solution expertise in projects or provide high level education to build solution selling readiness for our distributors, partners, customers and employees.

Responsibilities (key accountabilities)

Strategy & Planning

Build a structure for a rapidly growing organization with constantly changing and expanding video surveillance and physical security market.

Be the point of contact on Technology, Products, Solutions and trainings within the region internally and externally.

Keep updated on any news development in the industry, in his/ her region or legislation regarding video surveillance.

Structure and implement new initiatives and plan and expand resource planning accordingly.

Contribute to the decision-making process in the training organization in the context of the long term strategy.

Build market readiness and business growth via knowledge transferring

Develop programs/initiatives to drive new technologies/products/solutions market awareness and business opportunity.

Lead to develop new technologies/products/solutions go-to-market plan and cooperate with sales teams to execute.

Alignment with sales teams to achieve long term business growth

Lead and follow up on regional training initiatives

See that the region provides professional, up to date training in the region: Axis Academy, customized training, demos at trade shows & any other training activities towards our distributors, partners, users and colleagues.

Eventually manage a team of experienced evangelizers and ensure that they keep their expertise on a high level.

Lead the work with implementing the certification in the region.

Initiate and implement new initiatives to educate the channel on the latest video surveillance technology.

Regional Management team

Actively take part in decision making in the Regional Management team, working closely together with the Regional Director, Management Team, and the other colleagues in the teams on a day to day basis.

Represent the region internally and externally, sharing ideas and best practice.

Profile - Experience:

Well established Manager with a technical profile and management experience

Well acquainted with technology products, the IT/security market and the ecosystem.

Technical knowledge about products and systems are crucial to show that Axis is the leader when it comes to knowledge about this market.

Experienced in working with an indirect sales channel, serving multiple target groups and stakeholders.

Important skills/abilities for this role:

Proven leadership and management skills.

Business acumen

Exceptional presentation skills, motivating stakeholders when transferring knowledge about products, systems and the market.

Expertise in data networking technologies.

Hands-on

Well educated to handle technology driven and innovative product portfolio.

Excellent organisational skills, being able to handle multiple priorities.

Fluent in English is necessary, proficiency in other languages in the South Asia Pacific region will be an edge

Open minded, self-driven with interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Ability to handle strategic questions as well as drive operational challenges.
