Job Description


UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for a Relief Library Assistant to start immediately.The successful incumbent will be on call and to be available at short notice during busy periods to cover staff absences. This position will require the suitable applicant to be able to work intermittently, however regular hours are available usually for 4-6 hour periods, Monday to Friday, during school terms.Main Responsibilities

  • Liaises with Library Supervisors, Teacher Librarian & Head of Libraries
  • Daily administration duties within the Library.
  • Book repairs, processing and maintenance of library materials.
  • Customer service, circulation and shelving of library books and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Person Specifications
  • GCE \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 Levels with minimum 2 years of administrative experience
  • Experience working in UWCSEA is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, collaborative and approachable
  • Knowledge of Library systems will be an added advantage, but are not a prerequisite
  • Incumbent with no Library experience will be considered
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, students and vendors
