The Psychology Department in the School of Social Sciences is seeking to hire a full-time research assistant for a research project on biopsychosocial criminology under Dr. Olivia Choy\xe2\x80\x99s lab.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating a research project on adolescent offenders and at-risk youths in Singapore.
Facilitating biological and psychological data collection in adolescent offenders in the Singapore Prison Service and in at-risk youths
Coordinating participant recruitment
Liaising between academic (NTU) and non-academic government institutions/community organizations (e.g., Singapore Prison Service, Central Narcotics Bureau) involved in the project
Job Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in psychology, criminology, biology, neuroscience, neuropsychology, or related field.
Social science research experience (e.g., participant recruitment, data collection); Experience with administering lab tasks is preferred.
Interest in working with at-risk youths and offenders in a prison setting
Amenability to travel to different locations, such as the prisons, community agencies, as needed
Excellent organization skills
Ability to communicate well with others, such as research team members, prison staff, youths, and offenders
Openness to different perspectives
