Job Description
The candidate will work at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials at the National University of Singapore in a highly international and multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The candidate will work at a laboratory dedicated to the development of biosensors for human sweat. The job entails the following:
- Work with biosensors for human sweat
- Prepare chemical and bio-chemical solutions
- Perform laboratory analytical tests, evaluate the results, and clearly present reports to the team and suggest new pathways
- Initiate, improve, and revise chemical laboratory operations and test procedures when appropriate
- Implement developed techniques for the identification of improvements to meet specific product specifications
- Perform assigned tasks using standardized procedures or detailed verbal or written instructions
- Have excellent chemical laboratory/safety practices
- Review and understand scientific and technical literature
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in the areas of biochemistry, chemistry, materials science, or related fields. Additionally, it would be a bonus if the candidate has:
- Experience with biosensors based on bio-chemical materials
- Experience with cleanroom chemistry activity, electrochemistry and knowledge on 2-probe and 4-probe DC testing
