Research Assistant (economics)
Job Description
Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought.
The College is seeking to hire a Research Assistant in Economics. Preferred fields of specialisation are Economics and Statistics.
The successful candidate is expected to begin duties in February 2024.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree with Honours in Economics from a regionally or internationally accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of work experience in conducting research in the field of labour economics, development economics, or public economics.
- Proficient in STATA
- Experience with coding in R or Python
- Experience with LaTeX and/or LyX
- Good knowledge of econometrics and economics models
- Good writing and communication skills in English
