The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant who is interested in the intersection of technology, empathy and wellbeing. The candidate will support the planning and execution of various research grants, and will work closely with the Lead Investigator on qualitative and quantitative research related to the impact of media technologies on wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily operational, administrative, and logistics duties related to project management
Leading and conducting literature reviews and working on research papers
Assist in research activities including conceptualization and planning of research projects
Lead/assist in data gathering (including focus group discussions and surveys) and analysis for relevant projects
Actively contribute to the writing of academic research manuscript
Lead the writing of reports
Undertake any additional administrative duties as required by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Communication Studies, Psychology or related field in the social sciences
Demonstrable intellectual excellence and capacity to work with others independently
Good project management skills, with multi-tasking ability
Academic writing skills
Experience with social scientific research (e.g., focus group discussions, interviews, online surveys, data analysis using SPSS)
Preferably with 1+ years of work experience in social sciences research. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
