The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 12-month contract at the .Project Title: What Shapes and Enables the Development of Expert Teachers: A Case Study of Singapore Expert TeachersProject Introduction: This project is interested to understand the factors that enable the development of teacher expertise. The project intents to understand the various kinds of professional learning experiences that are meaningful for teachers, other significant events or persons and how these experiences shaped and developed the expertise of expert teachers in the Singapore Educational Landscape.Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related disciplines
• Good theoretical knowledge of research designs in general
• Preferably with working experience in research project and familiar with research methods
• Experience with conducting qualitative analyses
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Be a good team player
• A self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed

Responsibilities:

• Conduct participant recruitment and collect data
• Conduct literature scans to support research and perform research analysis
• Manage project-related administrative work
• Write/prepare research reports, publications and presentation materials independently
• Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from external institutions, such as schools
• Other research and project management tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI)
