Job Description




The Ho lab within the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme at Duke-NUS is interested in discovering and functionalising novel small endogenous peptides in metabolism and cardiovascular biology. We are seeking a Research Assistant interested in contributing to work aimed at understanding the molecular mechanism and physiological impact of metabolic and cardiovascular phenotypes obtained in vitro and in experimental mouse models.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in research projects that apply a variety of experimental approaches, e.g., single-cell transcriptome sequencing and data analysis, CRISPR/Cas gene editing, vector-mediated gene delivery, retinal angiogenesis models, and high-throughput physiologic/metabolic phenotyping of mouse models using the recently acquired state-of-the-art PhenoMaster platform.

Job Requirements


  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences or equivalent.
  • Entry level candidates interested to work with mouse models are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with rodent handling and husbandry is highly desired.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, written, oral communication and computer skills.
  • Meticulous, organised, and work well independently and as part of a team.
