Job Title: Research Assistant (Psychology)

The Social Endocrinology and Decision-making Lab (NUS, Department of Psychology) is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our research team. This full-time, entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to research examining how hormones (e.g., estradiol, testosterone, cortisol) influence how we behave, and make decisions, in stressful and competitive social contexts. This position also offers a pathway to launch your research career, providing hands-on experience across various aspects of the research process, along with valuable mentorship and professional growth opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Design research protocol to facilitate data collection
- Organize and coordinate data collection sessions
- Facilitate the collection of biological samples
- Coordinate and supervise other research assistants and team members
- Help prepare and submit ethics protocol applications and amendments
- Conduct literature searches and summarize findings
- Perform data coding, data cleaning, and basic analysis
- Maintain accurate records of research activitie

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, health sciences)
- Prior experience of working in a research lab (preferably in the field of Psychology)
- Strong interest in research methodologies and practices
- Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data management software (e.g., R, SPSS)
- Familiarity with ethics applications and research protocols
- Research experience through internships or undergraduate projects
Note: Candidates with experience working with physiological measures (e.g., will be particularly valued for this position.
