Job Description
Research Assistant/Associate
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards and manage research-related tasks on a project related to assessment of nutritional intake of hospitalized patients using machine learning technology on food photographs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Project management
- Contributing towards research protocol development
- Data collection and data cleaning
- Conducting quantitative and/or qualitative analysis under the supervision of senior researchers
- Conducting literature reviews, including systematic reviews
- Contributing to the development of scientific papers and the dissemination of the study findings
The appointed candidate should:
- Hold at least a bachelor's degree in any branches of science
- Have at least two years' work experience, ideally on a health related research project
- Have experience of using statistical software i.e. Stata, SPSS
- Be fluent in written and spoken English
- Have the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Be organized and able to prioritize work load
- Have prior experience of working with electronic medical records is desirable
- Evidence of publication is desirable
- Ability to speak a second local language would be an advantage e.g. Mandarin, Tamil or Malay
