Title of Project
Meaningful Learning with AI: A Postdigital Study on the Student-AI Relationship in the Learning of Public Speaking
Project summary
- 10 full-time undergraduate students will participate in a 6-week trial during which they will have to record themselves making a speech using the AI software provided.
- The software comes with facial, gesture, and speech recognition and will track each student\'s performance.
- Upon submitting their speeches, they will receive immediate feedback from the AI.
- Students will have to hand in 3 guided reflection pieces which they will have to write during the trial itself
- Note-taking during FGDs
- Transcribing, coding and thematising of FGDs, AI-generated evaluation reports, and Guided Reflections
- Nvivo software provided
- Experience in qualitative research, especially Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and/or Thematic Analysis (TA)
- Experience with conducting/note-taking for FGDs
- Experience with NVivo Qualitative Research software is strongly preferred, though not an absolute requirement
- Open to learning new skills
- Able to work within designated timeline
