Research Associate (civil Engineering)
Job Description
A Research Associate position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The position is in civil engineering and will focus on AI and IoT technologies for intelligent infrastructure modeling, monitoring, and management. The earliest starting date for the position will be Jan 2023.
:
Develop efficient and lightweight machine learning algorithms suitable for IoT
Implement and test the applications using IoT prototypes
Publish several papers in top journals
Write proposals for further development
Mentor students
Job Requirements:
A Master degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Extensive experience in structural condition assessment
Excellent programming skills for one of the languages, such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
A good record of referred journal publications or conference presentations
Good oral and written communication skills in English
Previous experience in proposal writing is a plus
