This position is for College of Integrative Studies (CIS).
Urban Climate Design (Climate and Densification).
Assist in analyzing existing literature on urban climate design with respect to climate and densification.
Assist in fieldwork for obtaining data for climate model validation.
Assist in writing technical reports for the CS2.0 project.
Qualifications:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Architecture, Building, Ecology, Engineering, Geography, Sustainability Sciences).
Documented expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods (e.g. a submitted honours dissertation or final year project) is preferred.
Proficient in programming languages (e.g. Python and R), data analysis, statistical methods, data visualization and knowledge (or willingness) to learn of PALM-4U. - Willingness to learn (e.g. about microclimate urban modelling) in a multi-disciplinary environment and collaborate with other team members.
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to producing high-quality research.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
